Welcome
to Southlake Landing Townhomes Association, a Home Owners
Association for the Southlake Landing Townhomes Community.
Southlake Landing is a luxury lake front townhome community located in Prince
William County, VA - a suburb of Metropolitan Washington,
DC.
|
|
|
 |
Our
residents enjoy access to employment, sports &
entertainment and recreational centers within the Greater
Washington region. Our mission at Southlake Landing
is to ensure enjoyment in a community that is well-maintained,
while providing sanctuary from the hustle and bustle of a
rapidly growing region. As a home owner in Southlake
Landing, you have a vested interest in protecting your
investment. We ask that you be a responsible member of the
association by containing your trash, picking up after your
pets, parking in a considerate manner, maintaining you home
exterior, and respecting the rights of your neighbors and the
common property.
 |
|
|
 |
In order to
fulfill this mission, we encourage all home owners in
Southlake Landing to participate and to get involved! If
you are new, a longtime resident or perspective buyer, find
out when and where the next Southlake Landing meeting is and
attend. If you have questions, comments or concerns,
voice them directly to our Board
of Directors. Together we can make Southlake Landing
one of the most desirable town home communities in Greater
Washington in which to live in.

Summer
Fun in Southlake Landing
The summer season in Southlake Landing
got off to a great start with our 4th Block Party held at the
Gazebo on Memorial Day and our 3rd Book Exchange
held on June 18 near the playground on Backwater Court.
Festive red, white and blue decorations,
good food, good company and karaoke made the Block Party an
event to remember. Did
you know we had some rock stars in the neighborhood?
The highlight was surely the musical stylings of
several of our neighbors.
Joel and Jolynn brought their karaoke machine and broke
the ice by belting out the first songs!
Brand new neighbor Joe was next up to the mike with a
rockin’ rendition of a favorite Stray Cats tune. These three
can definitely quit their day jobs! But the night belonged to little 9-yr. old Solomon with his
amazing performance of Justin Beiber’s “Baby.” Watch
out! He’s going places!
The Book Exchange is fun for all, but was
especially created to encourage kids to read throughout the
summer. Although we did not have the turnout we would have
liked at this year’s event, those who came had a large
selection of books to choose from and enjoyed visiting with
their neighbors over coffee, juice, fruit and donuts.
This event will be revamped
for future. In
August we plan to focus the Book Exchange on kids only and
combine it with the Ice Cream Social, featuring a special
reading performance by our neighbor Jolynn.
Our next event will be the Annual Regatta
in July. Be on
the look out for more info soon!
Hope to see everyone there.
Special thanks to Susan, head of our
Social sub-committee and Chair of our Good Neighbors Committee
who has done a wonderful job of bringing us all together
through thoughtful communication and fun events in the
neighborhood. Thanks
also to Social Committee members Diane, Patricia,
Renee, Megan and Louise.

4th
Annual Regatta
A
beautiful day and enthusiastic participants helped to make
this year's Regatta on Saturday, July 30, a successful event.
We had four races: Poker Relay, Two-in-a-Canoe, and the Men's
and Women's Kayak race. Congratulations to all the winners who
received a prize and a certificate. The day ended with a
picnic supper and door prizes sponsored by Shoppers Food. And
all the kids received coupons from Dairy Queen. Shoppers also
provided all the ice. We're grateful to these local sponsors
for their support of our community.
Thanks also to Susan and Dave for all their efforts organizing
and working the event, assisted by Diane, Patricia, James, Ana
and Louise.
