ENGINEERING FOR KIDS
Tuesdays @ 5:30 - 7:00 p.m.
Why teach engineering to children? Children are naturally
curious about the world they live in. We build on that curiosity
by teaching engineering concepts through hands-on learning
6-Week sessions.

LEGO® Robotics Club, Dates: Oct. 25, Nov. 1, 8, 15, 22,
29 Students will learn to design, program, and control fully
functional robotic models.

Civil Engineering, Dates: Jan. 3, 10, 17, 24, Feb. 7 In
this class, students will design, build, and test their own
balsawood bridges as a way to study structural loads.

Electronic Game Design, Dates: Feb. 21, 28, Mar. 6, 13,
20, 27 Students will have the opportunity to create their own
video game in this fun, stimulating electronic game design
program for kids.

LEGO® Robotics Club, Dates: April 17, 24, May 1, 8, 15,
22 Studentsl learn to design, program, and control fully
functional robotic models.

Winter Break Camps: Dec 26-30

Morning Camp- Aerospace Engineering - 9:00 am to Noon
Students will utilize the Engineering Design Process to create
and build a variety of flying machines. Rocketry is one of the
main components of this camp, and students will have the
opportunity to construct their very own straw rockets and bottle
rockets! Students will also get the chance to create their own
colorful model hot air balloon and design parachutes for a toy
jumper. Students will close the program by looking at different
forms of air transportation and simulating a lunar landing with
a marshmallow "astronaut" that must survive being
dropped from space.

Afternoon Camp - Electrical Engineering - 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm
The Electrical Engineering program will allow students to build
squishy circuits, solar fans, magnetic levitation vehicles, and
complex circuits in a fun and safe learning environment. Kids
will learn the basic concepts of electronic circuitry and will
be able to build their own from scratch.
